This training is for everyone, not just those working with people who have active trauma symptoms. Everyone has had some experience with trauma in their lives and certainly stress. Therefore all will benefit by learning to self-regulate which simply means to get grounded, feel safe, and be present.
Trauma-Informed Yoga is a construct that helps us become more aware of what we say and how we behave so that we are cognizant of people’s humanity while respecting their safety. It is important to teach in a Trauma-Informed way so we aren’t shaming or marginalizing those with whom we work.
We will include a 16 hour module of Trauma Informed Yoga towards our 200 Hour Teacher Training. You will be able to take the training without taking the teacher training.
